Ultra-light micro pigments. Non greasy feel. Just a few drops needed. Zero make-up feel." Boots website

" A feather light foundation, feels as light and fresh as water. Instantly fuses with the skin blending seamlessly to leave a silky, second skin effect." back of the bottle

Available in six (6) shades: Porcelain, Pure Beige, Nude Beige, Warm Ivory, Golden Sand and Rose Beige

This is one of the most talked-about foundations and I have finally tried it and here are my thoughts:

Variety

I would say that most of the shades have an orange undertone, but as it is such a light foundation it blends really easily with your skin tone so you will be able to find the shade for you!  I bought a shade darker just because I know I'll get a tan and I want it to match my shade but to be honest I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that it blends so perfectly with my skin tone, even though it is a shade darker.

Price

This foundation retails for £9.99 (20ml) which is a bit pricey for the amount you get, compared to the Maybelline Superstay Better Skin foundation which retails for £8.99 for 30ml (review - here), but a small amount goes a long way so it will last you a really long time!

Packaging

To be honest one of the reasons I wanted to try this foundation was the packaging,  it looks really expensive and unique compared to all the other drugstore ones. The only downside is that it doesn't come with a built in pump and things can get a bit messy due to the liquidy texture.

Ease of use

It needs a little getting used to but if you are careful enough, then it's probably the easiest foundation to work with. I place my finger at the top of the bottle and flip the bottle so that only a small amount gets through. Then I just use my beauty blender to blend everything in. Due to light texture it blends so easily (tried blending it with my fingers as well and it worked perfectly as well!) and as I said a small amount goes a long way.

Coverage

I read a lot reviews claiming that it looks like a second skin and it definitely does! It looks so natural,  "my skin but better" would be the best way to describe it. It is very lightweight so it has a light to medium coverage but you can work with it and kind of build it up (but you can't really achieve high coverage). Who doesn't like a lightweight, flawless, glowy and natural looking skin? I think this foundation is perfect for Summer as you don't really feel it on your skin.

Longevity

It dries to a radiant yet kind of matte finish (unlike the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation - review here) that does last all day long. The second picture was taken 5 hours after and you can see that it still looks perfect, I used powder over the top but still even with powder I find that most foundations don't really last on me. I would say it lasts 7 to 9 hours on my skin, which for a normal to oily skin is perfect! Oh and it doesn't make my pores more noticeable which is always a plus!

Round Up
