THE DREADFUL DIARIES :So begins another hungover day of pretending to work.....
I'm halfway through getting my slideshow for my talk on fashion blogging ready. Halfway. Thanks to a massive computer virius my computer is not speaking to me. which is very annoying. The talk is on Vogue VS Tavi : what blogging means for the industry. So at least it's something I know a lot about! Having never met Tavi or worked at Vogue.
I decided today to spring clean the blog and give it a sexier feel. The pink was getting on my last nerve and I think the black looks nicer. If you feel differently, let me know. leave a comment.
Last night I sampled the delights of the Button Factory. Hence why I am hungover to hell. I decided to go and throw an outfit together with Z's help. We chose a navy Alexa Chung style dress with a white bib, A sequinned cropped jacket, Tied my hair in a top knot, No make-up, Vertical striped tights in black and black mary janes from Irregular choice.
Bit insane.
Oh and my nerdy tortoise shell glasses.
It worked wonders. Although, maybe it worked too much. Got hugged by a stranger in the smoking area, who after the emotional hug (or the bewildering hug) offered to sell me some crack.
yes. crack.
because that is such a social drug.
(I said no, incase anyone cares)
the music was, a bit, meh. undance-able. but the vibe was all together very friendly. infested with NCAD students (Dublin art students). Over noticable moments were a bacardi breezer cocktail which was, well, wrong. just wrong. I hate bacardi breezers. they just taste like fruit cordial with no dilution. its not right! Also there is like 520 calories in a bottle.
and also, the whole night was a fiver.
You can't go wrong.
So tonight I am off to a burlesque night (with electro music - as you do), then friday and sat night E is visiting me and staying in my 'gaff' for the weekend. Dunno what we are going to do Sat night but Sunday will see us off to a NCAD dj set somewhere in dublin..... I need to sleep though. I have returned from my 3 day mini trip to Belfast where the shopping was good and the breakfasts were plentiful. A wonderful way to spend 3 days.....
