Hello gorgeous gals,
Reviewing another Bite Beauty Liquified Lipstick and it’s the shade “Braised.” I have reviewed a couple of other shades from this line earlier – “Whip” and “Flambe.” So, let us find out how “Braised” performed.
Product Description:
An innovative, liquified lipstick that takes liquid lip looks to the next level, with indulgently creamy wear, precise application, and high-pigment color with a satiny finish.
The liquid lip gets redefined: Bite Beauty’s most nourishing lipstick, Amuse Bouche, gets liquified. Unlike a traditional liquid lipstick, this award-winning formula features high-pigment color, indulgently creamy wear, and a satin finish, thanks to melt-on-your-mouth monoi butter and coconut oil. A precision applicator delivers effortless definition. Like all Bite Beauty products, it’s made with natural ingredients, and handcrafted in small batches. With an assortment of modern, wearable shades you’ve never seen from Bite Beauty, this collection gives everyday lip color an unexpected twist.
It is formulated without parabens, sulfates, and phthalates. Founder Susanne Langmuir developed 12 modern, wearable shades. With complex and moody undertones that work perfectly with their revamped formula, this collection gives everyday lip color a startling twist. This formula is all about transformation, so each shade is aptly named after a cooking technique and the satiny, demi-glaze finish provides a sheen that makes these shades stand out.
Bite Beauty lip products are created with natural and organic ingredients and are free of petrochemicals.
This product is an Allure Best of Beauty award winner.

My Experience with Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Liquified Lipstick Braised:
Packaging: The packaging is interesting. It is a cuboid tube made with the same velvety black material that the Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche lipsticks are made from. The tube has a transparent acrylic bottom through which the shade is clearly visible – allowing you to be able to pick up the correct shade in a jiffy – if you have more than one of these. The tube has a doe-foot applicator, which is slightly longer than usual applicators. It gives a good control over the application and allows the lipstick to spread evenly on the entire lip and manages the lip line contour well too.
A quick brief on the brand before delving into their liquid lipsticks – for the benefit of anyone new to the brand and landing here from a Google search.. Bite Beauty is a Canada-based brand sold exclusively at Sephora, apart from their own stores. Their USP is that the products are made with natural, organic, “good-for-you” ingredients. Bite does not contain gluten, sulfates, parabens, phthalates or petrochemicals (not even silicone). Meaning – what is being applied to your lips is literally, good enough to eat. Most of the shade names are based on food products or cooking techniques – which probably helps to further bring home the idea of edibility (safe ingredients)!
Anyway – back to the product in hand:
Color: “Braised” is described by the brand as a deep scarlet color. It is a medium to dark, plum-toned red shade with a cream finish. I found the shade quite unique, it leans more red than plum and is quite flattering on or medium skin tones.
Texture: The texture of the liquefied lipstick is just as the brand has mentioned – “high-pigment color, indulgently creamy wear, and a satin finish.” It is lightweight on the lips, pigmented and creamy. Despite it being lightweight, you don’t really forget that you have it on because of the slight stickiness it has when the lips touch/purse. The texture remains the same even with wear – it never really dries down. This also means that this lipstick would transfer constantly from the lips to any surface it touches, till the lipstick finally disappears, leaving a very slight stain. It is super comfortable on your lips, does not get drying even with wear time. It keeps your lips nicely moisturized. The lipstick would definitely benefit from the use of a lip liner – to give super-defined lines – but more so, to keep the product in check. The lipstick does not bleed or smudge on its own. It does stay put. However, a meal can cause it to smudge outside the lip line. This can be controlled to an extent by the use of a lip liner.
Pigmentation: The pigmentation is excellent. The pigment is evenly spread and does not sink into the fine lines of the lips. The shade covers my lip pigmentation well.
Lasting Power: This shade gave me decent wear time. I got about 5.5-6 hours of wear time. A lot will depend on whether you have used a lip liner and whether you eat something. The former will extend the wear time while the latter will reduce it.
Fragrance: There is a fragrance to this lipstick which dissipates fairly quickly and wasn’t obtrusive.
